West Ham Have Agreed a Loan move for Fenerbahce Striker Emmanuel Emenike

Emmanuel Emenike
West Ham have agreed a deal with Fenerbahce to sign Emmanuel Emenike but a loan move for Galatasaray's Burak Yilmaz appears to be off.

Sky sources understand Turkish club Fenerbahce have accepted West Ham's loan offer for former Nigeria international striker Emenike, 28.

Dubai-based Al Ain, where he had been on loan, no longer have Emenike registered as one of their three foreign players.

It is understood Emenike will travel to London for a medical on Thursday and the club will also prepare a work permit application.

And Fenerbahce are in talks with Roma over the signing of Seydou Doumbia as a replacement for Emenike.

The deal for 30-year-old Yilmaz is less straightforward, with Galatasaray reluctant to sell their Turkey international striker and likely to demand a fee in the region of £8m.

West Ham have so far only offered a loan deal which is thought to be of no interest to the selling club or the player, and it is also understood the Londoners do not want to bring in both players.

Crystal Palace had been interested in Emenike but have abandoned their pursuit after agreeing a contract with Emmanuel Adebayor on Tuesday.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic knows the player from his time in charge of Besiktas.
